Phillip Phillips Will Participate Tonight’s TOP 13 Results Show After Being Rushed to Hospital

American Idol frontrunner Phillip Phillips is back in the studio after being rushed to the hospital earlier today, March 8 due to abdominal pain.

According to Zap2it, Phillips did go to the hospital earlier, but is now back in the studio and will participate in tonight’s TOP 13 results show.

TMZ reports that the singer received medical treatment after experiencing intense abdominal pain, and that friends think gallstones are to blame. There’s no official word on what Phillips was suffering from.

Phillips is one of the best singers on American Idol Season 11. Last night, he ended the Top 13 performance show with a guitar-driven rendition of Stevie Wonder‘s “Superstition.”
