Burnell Taylor – I’m Here – American Idol 12 Audition

Burnell Taylor, 19, sang “I’m Here” on American Idol 12 Baton Rouge Auditions Week 2. Watch the video here.

He says he grew up in a musical family, and that it’s his grandfather who inspired him to sing.

His family was hard hit by Hurricane Katrina, one factor that convinced him to pursue his dream.

Burnell got standing ovation from the judges. He brought Mariah to tears. Nicki: “That is what we came for.” He’s off to Hollywood, of course!
