Angie Miller ‘Bring Me To Life’ American Idol Top 7 Video 4/03/2013

Video: Angie Miller sang “Bring Me To Life” by Evanescence on American Idol Season 12 Live Show with this week’s theme – Classic Rock (No Ballads) April 3, 2013. What do you think of Angie’s performance? Watch it here.

Keith hopes that she’ll be able to engage more with the song.

Nicki Minaj compliments Angie’s black outfit, before saying that while she enjoyed the performance. However, she wants to see Angie get back to the Colton Dixon/original song side of her that they saw earlier in the competition.

Ryan brings up Jimmy Iovine’s advice about Angie’s theatricality, and I realize for the first time this episode that Jimmy hasn’t been featured at all.

She was initially worried when Angie got up from the piano, but ultimately felt that the song was a perfect match for her.

No. Shes good at siging. But n. I dont likeher singing ths song. You hae a voice closer to Evancence  sing Evanescence. She should be a country singer instaed... She would be better off.

This sounds like what would happen if a country singer, or young teen popstar took on Bring Me To Life.  What horrifying blasphemy.  I agree that the emotion was not there that should be. It should not be sung by someone who does not have similar life experience(to that which inspired the song) to draw from, or is unwilling to go there. Without the intended drama, this song is like a kite without a breeze; it never gets off the ground!  This performance was all about putting on a bubblegum pop-y show, and as such, it is a gross disappointment. Wearing black does not make you Amy Lee!

Amy Lee's voice is so much better. Just saying.

No one can compare to the original!!!!! She did good but this doesn't mean she should go for this genre. But she was fantastic!

Olha, finalmente um rock no American Idol. Normalmente é só pop, black music e gritaria, enfim...

Valeu a intenção Angie, ficou... legalzinho, mas não conseguiu passar a emoção que a música pede, que a letra pede. Ninguém canta "Bring Me To Life" como a Amy, desculpe. rs'Amy é Amy! ;)

she sang a lower tone of the original song ... The song is in E minor and she's singing in D minor ... but it was good :)

I love Evanescence but people shouldn't compare her to Amy (or pretty much anyone versus the original singer) since they are very different singers. I think that she has a great voice (she obviously can hit the high notes) but her emotional delivery was lacking. The song is very theatric, she should've utilize that in her performance. The beginning was nice though, it has that haunting feeling to it just like the original song. Once the band kicked in though, it went flat.

The problem I have with a lot of these competitions is I like the original versions of these songs. Alot. So in order to impress me, you have to A.) sound just like them, which the judges hate, or B.) REALLY sell your own version. She did neither.

It's sad to see how hollywood turns anything good into crap, and then somehow make it appealing to the tens of thousands of idiots who watch that show..  Way to destroy a mona lisa..

Good on her for even giving it a go. Amy is a powerful singer that feels what she sings. Not an easy song to sing but she added her own feeling to it.

FAIL!!! Sorry, no one can cover Amy... Especially with a smile on their face! Did you not feel the lyrics??? Amy is deep, dark and full of emotion... this lacks ALL of that !

De un principio he visto que canta muy muy muy bien, pero Bring me to life no es su estilo o por lo menos el Rock no..

Yep, there's no life in this "Bring Me to Life" song with this singer.  Not impressed at all.

Well, she's no Amy Lee, but she does have a very nice voice.

she did good. but she needs more power and defined high notes. when i think of that song....all about the high notes and a pwerful voice.

As a very big fan of Evanescence, I am very upset that this singer could not match Ms. Lee's vocal capability. Therefore my opinion of this rendition is awful. needs much more pizzaz and confidence in her singing. seemed more like she was acting out a line rather than Performing this sensational song.

...and yes, I know a lot is supposed to be two words. That's what I get for not proofreading.
