Thank goodness America is finally voting. Maybe what the judges see is not what is getting across to the viewers. I have watched for years & was almost to the point of giving up on Idol. The top 20 got better and now I believe the top 10 is as right as it can be. I think, in the way I saw things, a lot of good talent went home way to early. Idol is going to have the ratings without the crap with the judges & without putting untalented people in and sending good ones home. For example, the train wreck of a song that Zoanette done. From what we got to see, she did not play the drums, she banged on them for a few beats. She slung her stick and went to looking for it and talking. Her "song", REALLY, she sang the judges names & then, the rest of it was just garbage. I am not trying to be hurtful to Zoanette. I can tell she is a nice person & she was always cheering for the other people and you can tell they got really close and she cared. But, when it came time for the judges to critique her, they said things about her spirit and the way she acted, not much was really said about her singing ability. However, this is a singing contest not a cheerleading contest. Also, I have never seen the judges start out the season with all this stuff about the contestants knowing what kind of artist they want to be & telling them to stay in their lane & don't change what you are doing. If Idol is like it has been in the past, I don't know how some of these people are going to be able to perform a song that is in a totally different genera than what they are doing now. For example, no matter what Curtis sings, it will always sound like a gospel song. I don't believe he can do anything different. I did not vote like I have in the past. I did not see the need. Out of the top 20, I picked 9 out of the 10 that went on. It has just been extremely hard to stay with the show this season. Whoever make the decisions on what is done on Idol and what gets shown during the elimination rounds, screwed up!!! By far, the best thing I have ever seen on Idol was when Keith was talking to Angie after she sang. It was so real and so raw. You could just feel everything that Keith was saying. It was beautiful. He is a great judge. You can tell that he knows what he is talking about and that he is really trying to guide them.
